Simon’s Town is not just a quaint and historic naval town. Whether you are an active adventurer who wants to cycle, paddle or shark dive or the more laid-back type who wants to explore the historic mile on foot or sunbathe at one of her beaches, Simon’s Town has something for you. (www.simonstown.com).

- Rent a water bike from the Simon’s Town pier and pedal around the harbor
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of the apartment (less than 1 km or just over 0.5 miles). Our personal favourites include:
- The Lighthouse Café (www.thelighthousecafe.co.za)
- Saveur (www.Saveur.co.za)
- Bertha’s (www.berthas.co.za)
- The Salty Sea Dog for authentic fish and chips on the Simon’s Town pier
Three coffee shops are also within walking distance:
- The Sweetest Thing, locally loved for its bakery goods and lamb pies
- Think Café – run by the owners of Lighthouse Café (great coffee and a local favourite)
- Kelp Café at the south end of St George’s street – more great coffee with offerings of artisanal, locally-made food and pantry goods. You can also buy yacht rope!
